The organization was founded by Ms. Ackulura Thomas in 2018. Where she started with a back to school drive within the Block 22 Community. She later proceeded with a hot-meal drive at the Wisburg Secondary school 2018-2019.
The organization officially became a Trust in February 2021 in the City of Georgetown, in the County of Demerara, in the Republic of Guyana. With three official executive members and four Trustees.
Be The Change Trust is a newly established non-governmental /political /religious group Community organization within the Block 22 Linden community, Which aims to HELP! Those who are less fortunate in the fight against hunger and poverty.
Be the change envisions a community in which individual’s within this community who are affected by poverty are able to access the resources and aids needed with full confidence, dignity, and safety.
Our mission is to build the next generation of leaders and inspire lifelong stewardship of humanitarian services by engaging young people in hands-on service to humanity.
To promote the well‐being, livelihood, and dignity of all individuals as the fundamental basis for their long‐term security, peace, and development.
To provide feeding programmes for vulnerable families.
To create economic opportunities for youths and all interested persons and to train them for excellence in sports and youth development.
To contribute to the provision of education and training of youths, women, and other disadvantaged and interested persons in the community;
