Bio :

Manchester based painter and photographer interested in acrylic painting on MDF wood boards and canvases. After studying an Art and Design Foundation Diploma at Pendelton Sixth Form College she moved on to studying Fine Art and Art History at the Manchester Metropolitan University.

During her 3 years of studying she has been involved in 2 outsider exhibitions. She has curated and exhibited work at The Hudson Social and exhibited work at Green Arches for the Nice One Nice A4 show. She has also created commissioned pieces for multiple people, these varied from paintings to pencil sketches.

As a graduate she is keen on a career in the Archiving sectors of Gallery's, Museum's and Library's; but is also interested in an art technician role.

Artist Statement:

During my 3 years at university I have experimented with numerous materials. For example, acrylic paint, oil paint, canvas boards, MDF wood boards and hand stretched canvases. Throughout my final 2 years I have explored figurative painting and more specifically painting personal family memories. My practice delves into moments of the past and present, looking at family connections and being able to reflect on my childhood and present adult life. I have finalised my practise over the last few months of my final year and have been able to research and write critically.
