This short film animates a monologue of tweets collected from influencer @woahhvickyyy, cataloging her descent and struggle with religious fanaticism. How in the absence of a real life cult to cudgel and support one into concrete delusion; one's digital self can access the internet and acquiesce to the same level of obsession with thousands of on-lookers encouraging and emboldening views of bigotry and self-hatred.
This film was created by making a version of my digital self and animating a video of me saying the monologue and then printing the frames onto 16mm clear leader and then converting this version back to digital. This gesture conveying a poetic loss of self in digital translation.

Immersive installation art work, created with a connected network of ultrasonic sensors communicating to Unity using an Arduino bridge, participants would change the animation imposed on my digital self via their position within the room. The imagery of a placenta attached to my adult body conveys the nature of growing up, we depend upon our families when we lack agency, but within these dynamics we also often inherit familial trauma and relational complexities that follow us into adulthood and make emotional maturation difficult to access.

This work aims to capture my own digital footprint. By inputting my camera roll into a generative adversarial network I captured a computer’s processing of my sense of self, my experiences, my image, my art, what comprises me as a person. Creating, of course, nothing distinguishable but a rather abstract vision of who I am. The armature was constructed by forming it around my own body and is made of metal wire and silicone, reflecting the composition of the physical body through an artificial lens.
