Delta Kappa Gamma Society International
The Beta Zeta Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International (DKG) awards grants of up to $500 to female students who are preparing to become teachers. DKG is an international honor society that promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.
To be considered for this award, the following requirements must be met:
1. The student must be a female.
2. Either the student or her parents must be current residents of one of the following counties: Gillespie, Blanco, Mason, Kimble, or Kendall
3. The student must have been accepted into a teacher education program at a university.
4. The student must provide the following items by the deadline:
Completed official application to include essay questions
Most recent unofficial college transcript
Proof of acceptance into a teacher education program at a university
(may be a letter from a program director or academic advisor)
The grant is paid directly to the university after the recipient provides proof of registration for the following semester. For questions, please call Jo Murphy at (940) 727-1917
