We are currently looking for new members to join in activities, help out during our summer course and/or become part of the board!
Check out the descriptions for these below, then send us an email to lbg.uppsala.board@gmail.com about what you are interested in and we can find a time to meet (in person or online) so that we can answer your questions and fill you in on the details :)

Members and board members

Engineering and natural sciences students at Uppsala University and SLU Uppsala can become members of BEST Uppsala.
There are no membership fees!

Members
Members of BEST Uppsala usually meet several times per semester for meetings and/or for chill hangouts.
During the meetings, there is planning for our upcoming events (including the chill hangouts) and it is decided who will participate in the international events of BEST.

Members contribute to activities that are organized by BEST Uppsala. Examples are: Make waffles on campus and talk about BEST with students; participate in the STING festival (STING-festivalen, the UTN association fair for new TekNat students); help out during the summer course; and help out during the Christmas party in December. The members can also help out with PR, social media, designing posters etc. based on their interests.

Other than taking part of local events, the members get the opportunities to travel abroad on international BEST events, such as interactive meetings between BEST groups and fun parties.

Board members
Board members are just like the regular members except they also get the opportunity to participate in Joint Board Training (JBT) events with boards of some other BEST groups, in order to develop their soft skills (i.e. leadership, feedback, teamwork, PR, HR etc. skills). The past boards of BEST Uppsala have participated in JBTs in Tallinn (Estonia) and Novi Sad (Serbia). The upcoming JBT will be held during the autumn of 2025 in Copenhagen (Denmark).
