HOW TO PLAY PYRAMID SOLITAIRE

Pyramid is a patience or solitaire game of the Simple Addition family, where the object is to get all the cards from the pyramid to the foundation.

It is played with a single pack of 52 Anglo-French cards. The sum to be totaled for each pairing of cards is thirteen.

With the deck, a pyramid of 28 cards is formed in seven columns, starting from a top card and finishing with seven base cards. Each column is formed in such a way as to reveal the underlying cards.

At the beginning, only the seven cards in the bottom row are usable. As you match cards, the cards above will become free. You can eliminate the cards which, paired, form the sum thirteen (eg 5+8=13) by combining two cards from the tableau or one card from the tableau and the card in the pile; Kings discard themselves. From the stock you can take one card at a time, match it with a card from the tableau or leave it in the pile.

Two distributions are allowed.

HOW TO PLAY GOLF SOLITAIRE

Golf is played with a deck of 52 Anglo-French cards.

The aim, contrary to normality where the cards must all be transferred to the foundations in ascending order by suit, is to discard the cards into the pile by building chaotic chains (e.g. 7♠, 6♣, 5♣, 6♥).

Only the bottom card of each column is available.

The first card usable for construction is already in the pile, 16 remain at the stock.

The rule states that a K in the pile prevents further cards from being placed; to make solitaire easier in this simulation it is possible to put a Q but not an A on the K.

If the card in the pile is an A you can only put a 2 and not a K.

There are other variants as well:

- on the K you can put an A;

- if you create an empty space on the tableau, you can move any free card;

- two jokers can be added that are worth any card chosen by the player.

Once the possible moves have been completed, a new card is turned over from the stock to the foundatiom and the building starts again.

Once the stock cards are finished, all possible moves have been made, to be called a successful solitaire, the tableau must be empty.
