About Lund

Lund has one of the biggest universities in Scandinavia with almost 48 000 students. With less than 100 000 inhabitants you probably understand why students are the ones who rule this city!

Lund University is ranked as one of the top 100 in the world, and was founded 350 years ago. The town itself is more than a thousand years old, and with its beautiful churches and ruins, buildings and many parks, Lund is an ideal place to live. The surroundings are typical for the southern parts of Sweden - some people say its as flat as a pancake, but we think they're just jealous. Or maybe they have never been to Lund, because Lund is far from flat!

In Lund we have saying that if you have a bike , everything is just 15 minutes away. And maybe this is true, because everyone has a bike here. However, if you feel more adventurous you could jump on a train that will take you to Copenhagen which is only half an hour away!
