About the Guy in Charge

Hi. My name is Ryan. I am 15 years old. I am on my high school bowling team and I'm in the drama club. I have two brothers, Michael and Joey. Michael is a teacher in middle school and he helps me with woodworking in the basement. Joey is in college and he helps me when I have problems on the TV with my video games. Both of my brothers are firefighters and so is my dad. I like to go to the firehouse with them and help.

My dad is my partner in my business. My dad always takes me to the firehouse and I always drink the birch beer at the firehouse after I help my dad. I like birch beer so much that my dad and I decided to make our own birch beer. The hardest part about making birch beer is that it takes a lot of time. The best part about making birch beer is drinking it and making money. Some of the money I make goes to help kids that have trouble learning like me.

June 22 is Rare Chromosome Disorder Awareness Day. The Dad and Ryan's Birch Beer Family supports organizations that educate, advocate, and celebrate individuals with rare chromosome disorders or gene deletions.

Ryan has worked so hard to tackle the challenges he faces every day. Because of his efforts, he raised $500 from sales of his soda. On June 22, 2023, he donated to Unique, an organization that supports those with family members who have a rare chromosome disorders. Unique's research and support groups have helped us to understand Ryan's chromosome disorder and this is our way of giving back.
