Hardcore gamers are individuals who are highly passionate and dedicated to playing video games. They often spend several hours playing games every day.
On top of that, they tend to have a deep understanding of games, including mechanics, strategies, and lore.
Hardcore gamers are also typically very competitive. They enjoy challenging themselves to achieve high scores, complete difficult levels, or win in multiplayer modes.
They like to play games, and many of them play a game or two for an extended period of time. However, they are not addicted to gaming, and they play a game when they are bored or when they want to have fun. They can stop playing at any given moment, and they do not consider gaming seriously.
These gamers will typically have a few games installed on their computer but usually just one or zero on their phone.
Social gamers are individuals who play video games primarily for social interaction and connection with others.
They tend to prioritize playing games with friends, family members, or online communities rather than focusing solely on the game’s mechanics or story.
Social gamers may play a wide variety of games across different genres. Still, they often prefer games that are easy to pick up and play, have multiplayer modes, and offer opportunities for socializing.
Professional gamers are basically hardcore gamers who play games for profit and for income in general. These people can compete at virtual game tournaments; they can play online games where profit is possible, and they can also test video games as a 9-5 job. Of course, all of them love games, and they spend a lot of time discussing the new releases, competing with other gamers, and more.
PlayStation has superior exclusive titles, like Last of Us. Xbox is losing trust by making former exclusives available on other platforms. PlayStation offers a vast classic game catalog from PS1 to PS. Xbox can't compete with the length and quality of legacy games available.
The biggest difference between Sony's and Microsoft's services is that most of the latter's tiers, like Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, offer access to new, first-party exclusive games the day they launch. Being a member of Xbox's services also gives you seamless cross-platform compatibility with your PC.
