From Zero to One P/H Mining Power - No Investment
Rollercoin is one of those sites that I had always seen being advertised but never really appealed to me. The idea of investing REAL cryptos into a game without any guarantees of it paying off seemed too risky. Add to that the plethora of other sites where you can earn cryptos and I just never saw the appeal. However, recently I joined simply to earn a few points on another site and I can say the gameplay while simple is quite addictive. I've also learned you can earn quite a bit without even investing a penny.
What is Rollercoin?
As previously mentioned Rollercoin is a game that simulates a crypto mining operation. You start with an empty room and a very basic PC and can climb your way up to being crypto mining king. It is important to note that no actual mining is happening and you're not investing in any actual physical miners in any way. The "mining rewards" come from the various monetization methods employed by the site and are distributed based on the hashing power (computing power) you've earned in the game. Rewards are earned every ten minutes for all active players (more on that later). Buying miners and other items happens using an in-game currency called RLT or RollerTokens. This is not an actual cryptocurrency and has no value outside of the game. There is a secondary currency that you can earn as a sort of bonus for completing different quests called RST. The main differences are that RST expires and RST can only be used for very specific types of items, unlike RLT which is the main currency for the site.
Computer. As stated earlier you start your adventure in an empty room with an old PC. The PC allows you to play games to earn temporary hashing power, the more games you play the more hashing power you receive. As you play more games your computer will also upgrade allowing you to keep your hashing power longer. You'll keep your upgraded computer as long as you win one of the mini-games every 24 hours. Playing specific games can also earn you rewards in the form of RST. When you first begin the game hashing power from games and RST will be your main methods for earning in the game.
Racks and Miners. The first item you'll need to acquire is a rack, without a rack, you'll have no place to put your miner! It may sound simple but there are many different racks of different sizes and with different bonuses. For instance, a basic rack is the cheapest but doesn't give any bonus hashing power while a more expensive rack gives a 4% bonus to every miner placed there. Miners also vary tremendously in price and ability. When first starting out you'll likely only be able to afford some of the cheaper miners and racks which is fine.
Store vs Marketplace. There are two places to buy items in the game the store and the marketplace. The store items are being bought from the game itself and are "new inventory" while the marketplace is where you go to buy items from other players or sell some of your old items. The store sometimes has exclusive items that you can't find anywhere else but the marketplace is much cheaper if you're looking to build mining power quickly. The store also has items that can be purchased using RST whereas the marketplace doesn't. The main things you can buy with RST are batteries and parts.
Parts and Merging. One item that is very important in the game is parts, parts can be used to merge two miners together to create a new miner that is more powerful. The newly upgraded miner is more powerful than both miners put together. In this way, every miner can be upgraded as you continue through the game. Each miner though requires three parts to be upgraded hashboards, wires, and fans. Each part also has different levels basic, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary. Some miners require many parts and others only a few. If you buy the parts from the marketplace it can get costly. Another way to acquire parts is by using RST tokens to buy basic parts and upgrading them to the level you need. You can also purchase parts and sell them in the marketplace for extra RLT.
Batteries. Batteries are an idea that has been added to the game. Your miners won't work without electricity and that's where the concept of batteries comes in. In order for your miners to work at maximum efficiency your battery level must be full charged. Each day you're inactive on the site your battery level decreases. One way around this is to purchase batteries using RLTs from the Marketplace. If you're just starting out though you won't have the funds available. Instead you'll need to complete a task.
Tasks. Like other Get-Paid-To or crypto faucet sites, Rollercoin also utilizes offerwalls and tasks. By completing any offer, no matter how small the reward you earn a battery for that day to keep your mining operation running at max levels. Certain offerwalls allow you to do this much easier than others and I'll get into that in the section on strategy. The idea is to get this done as quickly as possible then if you have time to do more offers feel free to do so. They offer CPX, Theorem Reach, Lootably, AdGate, and Timewall amongst others. There is a weekly leaderboard competition that gives away 10,000 RLT to the top 100 earners.
From Zero to 1 P/H Mining Power
I was able to increase my mining power from zero to over 1 Pentahash on the site in about 6 weeks by following the strategy described below. The method I used was straightforward - I made sure to complete all the daily quests at least 5 days a week, which also helped me complete most of the weekly quests. Once I had completed at least ten weekly quests, I earned an additional 5 RLT, on top of any parts and RLT I earned from completing tasks.
Starting Out
When first starting you'll have zero RLT and no miners or racks to help you earn any. Your only option is to play games and upgrade your computer to a higher hash power. You should use this power to mine more RLT but you'll find it is a very slow process. The best thing to do is to focus on earning RST. Once you have enough RST you can buy items in the store. These items can then be sold in the marketplace for RLT which can be used to buy your first miners. How do you earn these RSTs? By playing games each day and completing the related daily quests. Each day there are two featured games by winning 10 rounds of each you'll earn 80 RST and complete 4 daily quests. You'll want to use these funds to buy parts in the store, then you can sell these same parts in the marketplace. In this way, you are essentially trading your RST for RLT. Now you can use that RLT to buy miners or save it for the next part of this method.
The Next Phase
Once you have a few RLTs under your belt with this method you can begin focusing on completing all the daily quests. Some of the daily quests require that you have at least about 0.1 RLT in your account.
The quests are as follows:
Play any game. This quest will take care of itself as you complete some of the other gaming quests, it will add 10 RST to your total.
Complete 1 task. For this quest, you'll have to go to the taskwall and complete an offer. It doesn't matter how much the offer pays or how long it takes. So, you'll want to find something quick and reliable that you can do each day. Surveys can be lengthy and sometimes you'll get disqualified. The most reliable way to complete this quickly is by using Timewall to view PTC Ads and withdraw to your Rollercoin account. Another option to earn quickly and reliably is Lootably paid videos. This will earn you a battery for the day which is well worth it.
Earn 0.5 RLT. A great way to earn some extra income is to participate in surveys. I highly recommend using TheoremReach as they offer a variety of surveys that most people can qualify for and compensate for disqualifications. Completing microtasks on Timewall can also be a quick way to earn extra cash, but you'll need to wait for task approval. By completing a daily quest, you can earn an additional 1 RLT and contribute to your weekly RLT earnings. If you earn more than 2.5 RLTs per week, you'll receive an extra 5 RLTs. By completing this daily quest five times a week, you could earn up to 2.5 RLTs plus 5 bonus RLTs daily, and an additional 5 bonus RLTs at the end of the week, for a total of 12.5 RLTs.
Win 10 Games of Both Featured Games. By completing these two quests you'll also complete the quests "Play Any Game" and "Win 20 games." The easiest way to complete this is to simply play the two games, then during the wait time play a couple of other games that you find easy. Some of the easiest games are Coin-Match, Flappy Rocket, Token Surfer, Coin Flip, and 2048. By playing games during the wait-time this will help you complete the next milestone faster.
Win 20 Games. Once you complete the featured games this will automatically be completed as well, it will earn you 30 RST.
Win 50 Games. If you use the previous method then by the time you win 10 games in each featured game you'll have won about 35-40 games, in total. To reach fifty just chose whatever games you can complete quickly and rotate through them for another 40 RST.
Open 3 Parts Cases. With enough RST, you can move on to the next obstacle which involves opening three parts cases. To do this, head to the store and select the "Season Store" option. Purchase one of each type of part, which will cost approximately 120 RST, but will earn you 40 RST. These parts will also be useful for the next stage
Make 20 Merges and Crafts. So when I first joined this site, I thought the only way to move forward was to merge two miners, but turns out there's another option that's more cost-effective! You can merge parts too. To make an uncommon part, you need 50 basic parts, and each upgrade costs 0.005 RLT. It'll cost you 0.1 RLT a day, but you can sell the upgraded parts for RLT or use them to merge miners later on. To upgrade the parts, just go to the "Storage" section and click on "Merge," then select "Parts." You'll see all the parts you can upgrade. Depending on how many parts you have, you might need to buy more cases. Once you've done 20 merges, it's a good idea to save your RST for the next day. At the end of the week, you can use any leftover RST to buy batteries or save it for the exclusive items in the season store. Plus, you'll earn 20 RST doing this.
Complete 7 Daily Quests. Automatically completes by completing the others mentioned above, it's worth 60 RST.
How much can you earn with this method?
This method allows you to earn without investing anything other than your time. Completing the games is the portion that takes the longest amount of time, it isn't hard but can get quite boring. However, it only needs to be done 5 days out of 7, some days you can simply play one game to keep your computing power. There also will probably be days where you don't earn the 0.5 RLT from the taskwall which is perfectly fine. However, it is important to earn 2.5 RLT in tasks in the week as this is necessary to earn the weekly bonus. The minimum you'll earn is 5 RLT for completing the 2.5 in the taskwall plus you'll earn at least one daily bonus of 1 RLT for earning over 0.5 RLT, so altogether that's 8.5 RLT. Then you'll also earn the weekly bonus for completing 10 weekly quests this will earn you another 5 RLT which will bring you to 13.5 for the week. You also end up with many parts that you have crafted which you can resell in the marketplace for more RLT.
How to level up quickly?
The best thing you can do at first is to buy miners based on hashing power only and not worry about other factors like bonus power or trying to complete collections of different types of miners. You'll have plenty of time later to optimize for those things. You can buy some cheap miners for bonus power but don't worry about that right now. Also, realize that merging miners to upgrade them can be more costly than just buying them from the marketplace and sometimes merging them doesn't pay off. If you want to level up quickly what you need is cheap power. Go to the marketplace and go to miners on the right you can set a minimum speed set it to about 300 T/H then sort by cheapest price. More than likely these will be too expensive so keep lowering it until something fits your price range. Using this method you should be able to find the cheapest miner with the highest power you can afford. You can also try lower ranges like 50 T/H or 85 T/H. Sometimes getting multiple lower-powered miners is cheaper than getting one high-powered one. To make comparisons it's good to think in terms of Hashing Power per RLT. The higher this value the better the deal that you're getting.
Once you have a good amount of Hashing Power you'll want to set it up to mine more RLT this will allow you to passively increase your power level while doing the bare minimum on the site. Once you feel your level is high enough you can switch to mining actual cryptos like Bitcoin or Litecoin. You may want to read up on how the mining works on Rollercoin to choose the one that'll give the highest return.
