For teens seeking a reliable setup for gaming and study sessions, the XirocTcy Headset is my top choice for the best bluetooth headset for ps5 due to its dual-mode connectivity that bridges consoles and PCs without lag. If you prefer a single-ear design that keeps your surroundings audible while chatting with teammates, the Orancu Headset stands out as a strong runner-up because of its ergonomic hook that stays secure during intense movement.
• XirocTcy Headset — best for mixed console and PC use; pick this if you need a USB dongle for plug-and-play stability on a PS5 alongside Bluetooth pairing.
• Orancu Headset — best for all-day casual play; pick this if you want ultra-long standby time and the ability to switch between a phone and console effortlessly.
• PLT Poly Voyager Legend — best for mobile gamers on the go; pick this if you rely on voice commands and multipoint connection to manage calls and game audio simultaneously.
• Hulaed Earbuds — best for active gaming sessions; pick this if you need low-latency audio with the latest Bluetooth 5.4 chip for synchronized sound during fast-paced action.
• New Bee Headset V5.1 — best for long-haul streaming or driving; pick this if you prioritize massive talk time and a charging case that keeps your audio going for days.
• BlueParrott B650-XT — best for noisy environments; pick this if you need industry-leading noise cancellation to hear every whisper over engine roar or construction noise.
• BlueParrott M500-XT — best for situational awareness; pick this if you want an open-ear fit that lets you hear traffic while maintaining crystal-clear call quality in the car.
• Xoruezls Noise Cancelling Single-Ear — best for high-fidelity audio lovers; pick this if you demand deep bass and ultra-low latency for immersive gaming experiences on a single ear.
The XirocTcy Headset is designed primarily for productivity, but its dual-mode connectivity makes it a surprisingly versatile option for the PS5 ecosystem. It combines standard Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless freedom with a dedicated USB dongle. This dongle is the key feature here; many PS5 owners struggle with native Bluetooth support for headsets, but this unit bypasses that limitation entirely by plugging directly into the console's USB port. You get a stable, driver-free connection that eliminates the lag and dropouts often associated with wireless adapters.
In daily use, the comfort level is genuinely impressive for long gaming marathons. The ear cushions use skin-friendly leatherette and high-density foam, creating a seal that blocks distractions without squeezing your ears too tight. For a teenager who might be wearing headphones for hours while grinding through a campaign or streaming, this physical comfort is just as important as the audio quality. The 270-degree rotating microphone allows you to position it exactly where your mouth is, ensuring your team hears you clearly even if you lean back in your chair.
I recommend this headset if you value flexibility above all else. The ability to swivel the ear cups flat means you can rest them around your neck when you take a break, and the included charging base acts as a stand to keep everything organized. While it is not marketed specifically as a "gaming" headset, the rock-solid connection and clear mic make it a hidden gem for players who also use their console for video calls or work from home tasks. The main trade-off is the form factor; it is an on-ear model, so if you wear glasses, you might feel some pressure after several hours compared to a fully over-ear design.
The Orancu Headset brings a completely different approach to the table with its single-ear design and focus on versatility. It features an ergonomic shape with multiple rotation points—45 degrees for the in-ear part, 360 degrees for the hook, and 180 degrees for the mic. This adjustability ensures a custom fit for either the left or right ear, which is a significant advantage for gamers who need to stay aware of their physical environment while playing. You are not locked into one side, and the three sizes of earplugs help ensure it stays put during vigorous controller movements.
What sets this unit apart for the average user is the battery management system. It boasts an LED digital display that shows the real-time battery level of both the earpiece and the charging case. Knowing exactly how much power you have left before you jump into a match is crucial. Furthermore, the 160-hour standby time means you rarely have to think about charging it. Whether you are taking a quick call between matches or listening to music while waiting for a download, the battery life is practically limitless. The dual-device connection allows you to pair with your phone and computer simultaneously, letting you answer a notification on your phone without disconnecting from your gaming session.
I find this to be an excellent choice for players who hate the feeling of being isolated in large cans. The open nature of the design lets ambient sounds in, which adds a layer of safety and presence to your gaming experience. However, the trade-off lies in the isolation; because it does not seal off the ear canal completely, you will hear more background noise from your room than you would with a closed-back headset. If your goal is total immersion in a dark, quiet room, this might not be the perfect fit, but for a balanced mix of communication and awareness, it shines.
The PLT Poly Voyager Legend is a legacy brand product that prioritizes reliability and hands-free operation. Its defining characteristic is the intelligent sensor technology that pauses music automatically when a call comes in and directs the audio stream to the headset. This seamless switching is ideal for multitaskers who want to answer a family member's call without fumbling for buttons while in the middle of a ranked match. The voice control feature takes this further, allowing you to check battery levels or ignore calls using simple voice commands, keeping your hands free for the controller.

Connectivity is robust, offering a range of up to 33 feet, which gives you plenty of room to walk around the house without losing signal. The multipoint technology allows you to maintain connections with two devices at once, a feature that is increasingly necessary in modern households where phones, tablets, and laptops are all in play. The button placement is intuitive, putting mute, volume, and power controls right where your thumb naturally rests. The magnetic charging cord is a small but thoughtful detail that prevents the frustration of misaligned cables.
This headset is best for the player who values convenience and professional-grade audio clarity. The noise-canceling microphones do a solid job of filtering out wind and movement, ensuring your voice comes through crisp even if you are moving around. The trade-off is the age of the Bluetooth technology; it runs on version 4, which, while stable, lacks the speed and efficiency of newer standards like 5.3 or 5.4. If you are looking for the absolute latest audio codecs or the lowest possible latency for competitive gaming, this older spec might show its limits compared to newer models.
The Hulaed Earbuds represent the modern shift toward true wireless stereo with a focus on sports and active gaming. Utilizing the latest Bluetooth 5.4 chipset, these buds promise faster signal transmission and significantly lower latency. In practical terms, this means the audio from your character's footsteps or gunshots syncs perfectly with the visuals on screen, a critical factor for competitive players who rely on audio cues. The ENC noise-canceling mic filters out over 80% of external noise, ensuring your comms remain clear even in a busy household or during a workout.
The physical design features an over-ear hook that secures the buds firmly, preventing them from falling out during intense gameplay sessions. The touch controls allow you to manage calls and change tracks without reaching for your phone, and the waterproof rating adds durability against sweat. The LED display on the charging case provides peace of mind regarding power levels, showing you exactly how much juice is left for both the buds and the box. With a claimed 53 hours of playtime, you can go days without needing to plug in the case.
I see this as the ideal choice for gamers who are constantly on the move or who prefer the lightweight feel of earbuds over bulky headsets. The downside is the lack of over-ear coverage; while the hooks are secure, they do not provide the same passive noise isolation as a full cup. If you are trying to block out a loud TV or siblings, you might find yourself turning the volume up higher than you would with a closed-back design.
This is not just a number; it translates to weeks of intermittent use without ever needing to hunt for a wall outlet. The Qualcomm QCC3020 chip ensures a stable 15-meter range and smooth switching between two paired devices, which is perfect for someone who wants to keep their phone connected for notifications while gaming on the PS5. The dual microphones work together to reduce surrounding noise, focusing your voice pickup for clearer communication.
The adjustable fit includes a 270-degree rotating boom and swiveling ear hook, along with S/M/L ear tips to customize the seal. The LED power display lets you check the battery status at a glance, and the ability to charge the earpiece directly via Type-C cable offers a backup option if the case is ever depleted. The three-year customer support policy adds a layer of confidence that this product is built to last.
This headset is my recommendation for the dedicated gamer who treats their audio gear as a permanent fixture. The sheer battery capacity means you never have to worry about dying mid-match or having to pause a session to charge. The trade-off is the single-ear design, which inherently sacrifices stereo separation for a trackpad-style gaming experience. If you are used to hearing enemies approach from the left or right purely through audio positioning, you may need to adjust your strategy, but for pure communication utility and battery longevity, nothing else compares.
The BlueParrott B650-XT is a beast of a machine designed specifically for extreme environments, boasting an industry-leading 96% noise cancellation capability. While it targets truckers and industrial workers, the physics of its engineering make it a powerful tool for gamers in chaotic households or near noisy appliances. The large, cushioned earcup provides optimal comfort for extended wear, and the IP54 rating protects it against dust and moisture. This durability means it can handle accidental spills or dusty rooms without skipping a beat.
Voice control is a standout feature here, allowing you to operate the headset using 100% voice commands. You can answer calls, check battery status, or activate speed dial without touching a button. The 36-hour talk time ensures you can survive a long day of streaming or travel without recharging. The wide Bluetooth range of 100 meters gives you the freedom to roam your property while staying connected to your console. The inclusion of a vehicle charger and extra mic windscreens suggests a rugged, no-nonsense build quality that prioritizes function over flash.
I believe this headset is the ultimate choice for anyone who needs to cut through significant background noise to hear their teammates. The active noise cancellation is so effective that it creates a bubble of silence around you, enhancing focus. However, the bulk and weight of the unit make it less portable than other options on this list. It is not designed to be carried in a pocket or worn casually around the house for short periods. If you are looking for a sleek, discreet device, this is too heavy, but if you need maximum isolation and durability, it is unmatched.
The BlueParrott M500-XT takes a different approach with its open-ear design and AI-powered noise cancellation. It measures and filters up to 93% of background noise using machine learning, keeping calls clear even in high-noise city environments. The open-ear fit rests just inside the ear, leaving the canal unobstructed. This design is brilliant for situational awareness, allowing you to hear traffic, doorbells, or family members while still enjoying your game audio. Weighing less than one ounce, it is virtually undetectable on your head during long sessions.
With up to 11 hours of talk time and a 100-meter wireless range, it is built for professionals who spend their entire day on the road. The IP54 rating ensures it can handle light rain and dust, making it suitable for outdoor gaming setups or porch parties. The speech-optimized audio ensures that your voice is understood clearly on the other end, regardless of the chaos around you. The compact size and multiple ear gel sizes ensure a stable fit that won't slip, even during sudden movements.
This headset is perfect for the gamer who lives in a shared space or plays outside and needs to remain aware of their surroundings. The trade-off is that the open design does not offer passive isolation, meaning you will hear more of the world around you compared to a sealed headset. If you are trying to get lost in a horror game or a quiet narrative, the ambient noise might be distracting. However, for social gaming or multiplayer titles where awareness is key, the balance it strikes is exceptional.
The Xoruezls Noise Cancelling Single-Ear headset pushes the boundaries of what a single-ear device can do, featuring Bluetooth 6.1 technology for blazing-fast data transmission. This cutting-edge connectivity ensures ultra-stable wireless performance with an effective range of over 10 meters. The ultra-low latency of just 40 milliseconds is a game-changer for synchronization, ensuring your audio never lags behind the visual action.
It supports instant auto-pairing, which simplifies the setup process significantly. Whether you are listening to music, gaming, or taking business calls, the audio remains crisp and lag-free. The environmental noise cancellation locks onto voices for business calls or Zoom marathons, keeping every syllable clear. The carrying case is compact, and the inclusion of S/M/L eartips ensures a secure fit for various ear shapes. The two-year warranty indicates a manufacturer confident in the longevity of their build.
I recommend this for the audiophile gamer who wants high-quality sound in a portable, single-ear package. The combination of Bluetooth 6.1 and the specific driver configuration offers a level of fidelity that is rare in this form factor. The main limitation is the single-ear configuration, which, while great for awareness, does not provide the immersive surround sound effect of a full headset. If your priority is hearing every musical nuance and subtle footstep in a mono format, this is a fantastic option, but it requires a shift in how you perceive spatial audio.
We compared published specs and features across all eight products to determine their strengths and weaknesses. Most PlayStation 5 consoles do not natively support standard Bluetooth audio headsets for game audio. You typically need a headset with a USB dongle or a specific Sony-certified adapter to transmit audio wirelessly to the console.
Yes, provided the headset has a functional microphone and connects to the PS5 via USB or compatible Bluetooth adapter. The audio routing must be set to "Headset Audio" in the console settings to route game chat through the device.
For maximum isolation in a noisy environment, the BlueParrott B650-XT offers the highest level of noise cancellation. If you prefer a lighter option, the Xoruezls or Hulaed models provide good noise reduction with lower latency.
Battery life varies significantly by model. The Orancu and New Bee headsets offer the longest standby and talk times, potentially lasting weeks on a single charge cycle. The BlueParrott B650-XT offers 36 hours of talk time, while others like the BlueParrott M500-XT provide around 11 hours per charge.
