Passion in helping young pitchers achieve their dreams! Former Collegiate pitcher and was also honored by being asked to try out for the MLB Colorado Rockies! His players love working with him because he explains the why and teaches simple changes that make big impact. Caring and kind, and motiviates kids to work hard. 

Patrick Ward played baseball from early childhood through one year of College at Cerro Coso in Ridgecrest, CA. Then he played USSSA competitive slow pitch softball all over the country as well as NABA (National Adult Baseball Association) league baseball in Las Vegas. He has coached youth softball/baseball for the past 4 years. He loves seeing the tremendous success in almost all the kiddos he has the pleasure of coaching. In softball, playing outfield is his favorite because of all clutch plays he has made in highly competitive games. In baseball, he loves the catcher position. You not only have most of the action, but along with the pitcher, you are working on different ways to get batters out.

Interesting fact: He has played competitive softball with or against many Major League Baseball players, names like Jose Canseco, Ozzie Canseco, Jim Abbott, Eric Bynes and Shane Victorino!

Originally from small town Minnesota, Luke Tellers is now raising his three young children here in Berthoud. His goal is to share his passion for the game and help create a community of players to become future Spartans.

As Captain and starting Pitcher of his varsity team, closing in Section Championship Playoffs, he continued playing for another 8 years for American Legion & Competitive Town Team Ball playing as Collegiate Level Athletes & former high school & college All-Stars.

He has been formally coaching in Colorado for 7 years with i9Sports, Berthoud Rec, & now Berthoud Baseball Club. 

He enjoys all there is to coaching, is passionate about developing fundamentals on a granular level, and deepening virtuous character through sportsmanship. He strives to keep it fun while challenging players to further fuel their growth through all levels.
