If you want a car charger that keeps your cabin organized with built-in retractable cables and sets a specific mood with ambient lighting, choose BERTHALESS Retractable Car Charger; if you need raw charging speed to power up two high-capacity devices simultaneously during a long night driving session, choose LISEN 90W. These two products solve fundamentally different problems for the modern driver, and picking the wrong one means either living with a cluttered console or waiting far too long for your battery to fill up.
• This pick is for drivers who prioritize interior neatness and atmospheric lighting over maximum power delivery.
• LISEN 90W: Its biggest strength is the dual 45W USB-C ports that deliver full-speed charging to two devices at once, but its trade-off is the absence of built-in cables, requiring you to use your own. This pick is for tech-heavy users who need to charge phones and tablets quickly without compromising on speed.
The BERTHALESS unit is designed first and foremost for the driver who hates cable clutter. You don't have to fish through a tangle of cords every time you need to plug in your phone or tablet. The design specifically targets the frustration of loose adapters bouncing around the center console or getting lost under seats. Once you stop using it, the cables retract instantly, leaving a clean surface that doesn't collect dust or snag other items.
Beyond the mechanics of storage, this charger appeals to those who care about the visual environment inside their car. The "Purple Starry Sky Light" feature transforms the device from a utility into an ambiance creator. While many chargers are purely functional, this model adds a layer of atmosphere that can be particularly useful during evening commutes or late-night drives. The light is bright enough to create a romantic or calming effect on the roof liner without being so intense that it blinds the driver or distracts from the road. It is a thoughtful addition for anyone who spends significant time behind the wheel after sunset and wants to soften the harshness of standard interior lighting.
However, this product is not for everyone. If your primary concern is charging speed, especially for larger devices like notebooks or high-end tablets, this unit may fall short. While it supports broad compatibility ranging from 12V to 24V DC and covers phones and tablets, it does not offer the specialized high-wattage protocols found in dedicated fast-charging bricks. It is a solid general-purpose adapter for smartphones and smaller gadgets, but it lacks the punch required for rapid top-ups on power-hungry devices. You should skip this if you frequently carry multiple heavy-use devices that demand maximum current, as you will likely find yourself waiting longer than necessary for a full charge.

The LISEN 90W is engineered for performance enthusiasts and professionals who cannot afford downtime. The core of its design revolves around its dual 45W USB-C ports. Unlike many competitors that split power unevenly between ports, this charger ensures that each port delivers a full 45W independently. This means you can connect an iPhone and an iPad Pro simultaneously, and both will receive their maximum possible charging rate without any drop in speed. For someone navigating traffic during a long commute or driving home after a shift, the ability to juice up two devices at once is a game-changer. There is no waiting, no swapping cables, and no compromise on the efficiency of the power transfer.
Durability and heat management are also central to the LISEN experience. The all-metal alloy shell is not just a aesthetic choice; it serves a critical thermal function. When pushing 90 watts of total power through a compact unit, heat generation is inevitable. The metal construction aids in dissipation, ensuring the charger stays cool even under heavy load. Combined with PC fuel barrier V-0 grade material, the unit is flame retardant and environmentally friendly, providing peace of mind that goes beyond simple convenience. The small, thumb-sized body fits unobtrusively into most 12V cigarette lighter sockets, maintaining a sleek profile that doesn't obstruct adjacent buttons or vents. It is a minimalist approach to a high-power problem, delivering serious capability in a package that disappears into the car's interior.
This charger is ideal for users who rely on Power Delivery 3.0 technology. The specifications indicate it can charge an iPhone from 0 to 83% in roughly 30 minutes, a benchmark that holds up well for daily needs. If you drive frequently at night or spend hours on the road, the speed of this charger becomes your primary asset. However, it requires you to bring your own cables. Since there are no built-in retractable wires, you must manage your own cord storage. If you prefer a self-contained solution where everything is stored within the device itself, this might feel like a step backward compared to the integrated design of the BERTHALESS. But for pure charging velocity and reliability, the LISEN is unmatched in this comparison.
• Best for simultaneous multi-device charging → LISEN 90W (dual 45W ports allow two devices to charge at full speed without sharing bandwidth).
• Best for heat management → LISEN 90W (metal alloy shell actively dissipates heat generated by high-wattage output).
• Best for ambient lighting/mood → BERTHALESS Retractable Car Charger (unique purple starry sky light creates a specific atmosphere).
• Best for travel/commute efficiency → LISEN 90W (charges an iPhone to 83% in 30 minutes, saving critical time on the road).
• Best for safety certifications → LISEN 90W (includes UL, CE, FCC, and RoHS certifications for intelligent power management).
• Best for device versatility → BERTHALESS Retractable Car Charger (supports a wide range of USB-A and USB-C devices with built-in flexibility).
• Best for minimalism → LISEN 90W (tiny thumb-sized body that sits flush in the socket without protruding).
In my opinion, the LISEN 90W is the superior choice for anyone who prioritizes functionality and speed above all else. While the BERTHALESS offers clever storage solutions and nice lighting effects, the sheer utility of charging two devices at full 45W speed makes it the more practical tool for the modern driver. I would buy the LISEN because it solves the real-world problem of running out of battery during long trips, whereas the BERTHALESS solves a cosmetic problem. If you are driving at night, the LISEN's ability to keep your navigation and communication tools fully powered without delay is the deciding factor. It is the safer, faster, and more reliable investment for the road ahead.
Yes, the LISEN features intelligent power management chips and has passed UL, CE, FCC, and RoHS certifications, making it safe and flame-retardant even when left plugged in for extended periods.
