We are a group of junior researchers from different institutions affiliated with the Berlin School of Economics (BSoE). Since 2014, our mission has been to foster joint research projects, to provide a platform for exchange of ideas, and to inform the global macro research community about the work conducted in the Berlin area.
We are a group of junior researchers from different institutions affiliated with the Berlin School of Economics (BSoE). Since 2014, our mission has been to foster joint research projects, to provide a platform for exchange of ideas, and to inform the global macro research community about the work conducted in the Berlin area.
To fulfill the network's mission, we organize annual internal macroeconomics workshops. The workshops feature a special guest who differs in every edition. The first one was kindly attended by Professor Fabio Canova in 2014. The 2016 workshop's special guest was Professor Wouter Den Haan while Professor Jordi Galí attended the third edition in 2017. Lastly, Professor Stephanie Schmitt-Grohé and Professor Martin Uribe were special guests of the 2018 workshop. Further activities of the BMN include, among other things, organizing in-house teaching and hosting a reading group.
