Note that in Berlin you need to stamp your ticket in the validation machine before you get in the metro/train, or after you get on a bus, if you hold a physical single ticket. You can also buy tickets on BVG app and validate your tickets on the app, and then no physical action is needed.
From Hotel Berlin:
By Metro (U-Bahn): Walk 9min to U Nollendorfplatz, and then take U2 (Pankow direction) to U Stadtmitte (exit C), and then 3min walk to arrive.
By Bus: Walk to Bus station Lützowplatz (next to the hotel), and take Bus 100 (to U Unter der Linden) or Bus M29 (to U Kochstr, Checkpoint Charlie), and then walk 8/11 min to arrive.
From Monbijou Hotel:
By Walk (Recommended): 25min walk, passing Museum Island, Unter den Linden and Friedrichstrasse.
By Train/Metro (S-bahn and U-bahn): Walk 2min to S Hackescher Markt, and then take any train (west direction, Platform 4) to S+U Friedrichstraße. Then you can transfer to U6 (Alt-Mariendorf direction) to U Stadtmitte (exit F), and then 3min walk to arrive.
