The date coverage on a policy begins. Benefits due under the policy are payable any time after the effective date.

The term endorsement refers to a document attached to an insurance contract or policy that amends or (changes) the policy in some way. An endorsement may add, remove or alter the scope of coverage under the policy. Also referred to as an AMMENDMENT. 

Someone who is intentionally removed from an auto insurance policy and listed as such. If that person drives the vehicle, either with or without permission, and has an accident, insurance policy will not provide coverage.
