about me

I am a PhD candidate in the Prager Lab at the University of Saskatchewan (USask).

My research focuses on the interactions between a bacterial pathogen, plants, and an insect vector. My primary research system is the one comprising Aster Yellows phytoplasmas (Candidatus Phytoplasma asteris) and the Aster leafhopper (Macrosteles quadrilineatus). I am interested in examining and understanding several behavioral responses of this insect, including aster leafhoppers' oviposition and host choice selection behavior, and how these responses can be altered by phytoplasma infection.

Overall, my research interests include plant-insect interactions, plant-insect-pathogen interactions, and plant signalling pathways.
