Hey, I’m Benz, and if you told my middle school self that I’d be working online with businesses in the US and UK, I probably would’ve laughed… awkwardly. Why? Because back then, I didn’t even know how to use a computer mouse! Yeah, tech and I were not exactly best friends. I got teased about it, but hey, joke’s on them because I didn’t let it stop me.
I spent nights glued to my computer, learning everything I could—Google became my best friend. Before long, my teachers, mentors, and classmates started noticing, and suddenly, I wasn’t the kid who struggled with tech anymore—I was the one getting things done.
Fast forward to college, when the pandemic hit, classes were out, and I had a ton of time on my hands. That’s when I stumbled into the world of online work. I took everything I’d learned, plus a bunch of new stuff from self-paced courses, webinars, and forums, and dove into freelancing. One thing led to another, and boom—I landed clients from the US and UK. From Virtual Assistance to Video Editing and Website Management, I was helping businesses grow, all while still studying for my Psychometrician board exam.
Yep, I’m now a certified Psychometrician and a freelancer, balancing the best of both worlds. If there's one thing I’ve learned through all of this, it’s that no matter where you start, you can always learn your way to the top.
