Education:

Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Mathematics from Lewis & Clark College
Graduate Certificate in Applied Data Science from MIT

Teaching Experience:

Over five years of experience in both one-on-one and group settings from middle/high school to college level and beyond
Worked as a teaching assistant in Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science

I offer test prep tutoring, academic/organizational coaching, and college admissions help. I am most experienced with math, statistics, chemistry and biology. I can help with physics, computer science, writing, Spanish and History.

I have experience working with students with ADHD, ASD, dyslexia, dyscalculia and dysgraphia.

Personal Journey

Personal Journey: I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Biochemistry from Lewis & Clark College. My passion for teaching sparked while I was working as a tutor at a drop-in tutoring center. It was there that I recognized the impact that accessible, personalized education can have on students. This realization drove me to eventually specialize in helping students overcome educational hurdles, particularly in complex STEM subjects.

Why I Teach: My commitment to education extends beyond just achieving academic success; it's about inspiring students to explore and understand concepts deeply as opposed to simply memorizing them. I believe in the transformative power of personalized education and am dedicated to helping each student achieve their personal and academic goals.

In My Spare Time: Beyond education, I am passionate about staying active and engaged with the outdoors. I enjoy rock climbing, skiing, mountain biking, and running. In addition to keeping me physically fit and mentally sharp, my free time activities give me opportunities to face challenges head-on. I bring this same energy into every tutoring session by encouraging my students to embrace challenges and celebrate their progress.
