Benton is set in Sussex on a fictional persevered railway, with an operational main line running through the persevered railway. ( Similar to Eridge Station on the Spa Valley Railway). It has a main station which both the operation main line uses and the persevered railway uses. The station then has 2 side platforms, one for passengers and one for goods incorporated into the platform. The layout also has a Stobart Rail Depot that is used for refuelling class 06, 08, 25, 31, 37, 47, 66 and 88. The Depot is also used by the persevered railway to service their locomotives and fill them with coal when needed. The Engine shed that I will be using is the Gaugemaster Modern Engine Shed Kit: REF No. GM406 and the station I will be using is the Gaugemaster Fordhampton Station: REF No. GM401. The platforms will either be made from wood or from the Metcalfe Plaform kit. At the moment the railway is in the planning stage as the baseboard haven't been built yet so watch this space for Updates on Benton.
Please note that the layout has no particular main livery, rather a layout where most railway liveries operate on or pass through.
Disclaimer: Some of the Locomotives on this slideshow are not mine but are friends or family that I have asked to run on Benton at exhibitions.
