Catey has been performing improv for over 60 years. She is currently working as a midwife and is enjoys welcoming babies earth-side. Her special talents include painting rainbows, snuggling animals beyond their comfort zone and speaking gibberish to “scam likely” callers until they hang up.
Michaela has dabbled in improv since high school. In college she co-founded a long-form improv team that still runs to this day at UC Santa Cruz. On stage you'll typically see her laughing into the back wall or jumping in to play a doctor or therapist, though this is not where her creativity stops. Michaela is a big fan of dogs and coming up with weird improvements to her new house.
Ryan began doing improv at Gonzaga before graduating and improvising at Vanderbilt, continuing his tradition of doing improv at funnily named colleges. He was a founding member of LOL Nashville which is still successfully going despite his absence. Ryan can often be seen drinking fancy beer and voguing at various locations on Colfax.
Em joined BENT in 2023 and we couldn't be happier to have their joy and energy. They are a writer by trade and enjoys performing. Em grew up in Chicago surrounded by institutions such as Second City and IO (improv olympic) igniting their passion for comedy.
Jason began getting involved with improv in Chicago, taking classes at IO (improv olympic) in 2004. After moving to Denver he rejoined the improv community taking classes at Rise Comedy. He joined Bent in 2023 and we are so happy to have him. Outside of improv he enjoys all kinds of theatre and can be found to dress up as characters from musicals.
Brandon is our newest member to BENT and we are excited to have him join us! Brandon has a theatre background and teaches middle schoolers the art the theatre.
Archer Rosenkrantz (He/They)
Archer is proud to be BENT's team coach. Archer is a local actor and improviser. You can see him is different productions around the Denver Metro area.
Matt was one of the original cast members of Bent and our moral compass. He was one of the best men any of us have ever met and he approached life with unmatched kindness, compassion, and empathy. An educator through and through, Matt always made us laugh with his ability to turn learning into comedy.
Matt passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 5, 2019 after a year-long struggle with ALS. He was a beautiful human inside and out and he will be dearly missed.
