Who said it was hard to climb a mountain is a 2D platformer where two players work together to climb up a mountain. One player has a double jump and the other has a dash. They also have to work as a team and use a rope to help pull each other up the mountain.Â
Out of all the levels created for this game this is my favourite. Although hard, the series of jumps the dash character has to make at the start of the level are very satisfying when pulled off. Then as the platform, the double jump character is on moves, they have to jump over obstacles whilst staying on the platform. At the end of the level the players then need to work together to push a boulder up a cliff.
This level was created to showcase the wind mechanic, when I started working on this level, the first idea I had for this level was of a wind tunnel and ending the level by smashing through a wall. The level went through a few different iterations before being finished. The two levels being showcased were created to favour the dash character because a lot of the levels that were created before this one favoured the double jump character.
