This was an excellent course both from the content and presentation perspectives. The content was the latest and cutting-edge. I really liked the topics and the book that the instructor picked. The lectures were well presented. The best part was the homework assignments. That's where we learned the most. The assignments were very challenging and it literally took me hours and hours and tens of pages for each assignment to finish but that's where I learned the subject deeply. I think the instructor did an excellent job of selecting the topics and designing the homework assignments and exams. The exams were very fair and only covered the material that was presented to us in the lectures or homework assignments. I really appreciate the bonus questions and bonus problems. The MATLAB project was also exciting.

This course was one of the most challenging for me as I had not done an extensive amount of probability theory in my engineering curriculum. That said, I have learned a lot and probability theory is not so scary to me any more. I have a ways still to go to be comfortable with it, but I am on my way. The notes for the class were very good, the problems very challenging. Excellent course!

The instructor is very knowledgeable in this area. I liked his lecture recordings, PowerPoint slides, and presentation style in general. The homework assignments were very well designed. Some of the problems were quite challenging but that's when I learned the material. The instructor was very timely in grading and provided constructive feedback when I made errors in assignments. I very much appreciate how quickly the instructor responded to my questions and clearly answered them. I think the exam was very fair and it was great to have a MATLAB project to work on during the course. All in all, an excellent instructor and I thoroughly enjoyed taking this course from him.
