When a visitor requests current conditions from wunderground.com, the geographically closest station is displayed. There is also a Station Select button, which shows a list of the next closest stations.

The snow depth images are taken from a dataset prepared by the United States Air Force (USAF). The data is compiled from a variety of surface and satellite-based measurements for the Northern Hemisphere. The data is updated once per day at about 7pm EST. The data has problems in many areas. In particular, it does not do well in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Snow data for over 600 locations in the Western U.S. mountains is available from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's SNOTEL network. These stations report snow depth, but not snowfall amount. For more detailed information about real-time and historical snowfall measurements from the SNOTEL network, visit the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Description A blueprint to upload Home Assistant sensor data to WUnderground. The WUnderground data upload for weather stations is based on a GET request, so it is possible to achieve these results within an automation. Yes, I know. WUnderground...

But the general gist is to get the Netatmo integration working on HA, then setup a Weather Underground account with PWS (just select the type as Netatmo even tho it does nothing), then install the above WU data uploader into HA and make sure it's uploading to WU.

I have my Tempest linked to Wunderground, though mainly for history but I allow it as a pws point for their forecasting. The main forecasting comes from Weatherflow itself. For my dashboard though I use the Wunderground driver for displaying forecasts for the next day

What is weird is that if I save-as the web page with Firefox, the result depends on whether I choose 'web-page, only HTML' or 'web-page, complete': the latter includes the data I'm interested in, the former does not.

Very disappointed, Entire intent of buying purple air was the recommendations by wunderground. if it does not gets integrated with wunderground account then it kills the entire purpose of buying this sensor as entire intent was to bring all sensors and data on one common platform.

I just set up my sensor and did not see an option to connect to wunderground at all. Will my sensors data automatically show up on wunderground or do I first have to create an account there and then reinstall the app? Also for the other accounts like air now- does purple air automatically share data there or would I need to set up accounts to allow sharing? Appreciate clarification on the process for linking.

There is another sensor up the road on purple air- not sure if they connected to wunderground. A bummer as lots of folks in town were looking forward to being able to see local accurate pollution and temperature readings. Frankly, the purple air map with all its drop downs to access info is too time consuming for most people. Is there a way to contact wunderground to troubleshoot? Thanks!

In addition, WU seems to only use the air quality data from our sensors on their map. This may be because they support other weather stations that produce that data and due to the fact that the temperature readings in our sensors are meant for the sensors themselves. With The Weather Company, you can take advantage of these packages quickly and easily, accessing weather data APIs via the Cloud. The packages are curated to give you only what you need in the format you need it. You can Incorporate weather data into your applications or combine business data with weather data such as alerts and notifications, forecast data, and weather imagery, then apply advanced analytics to build the foundation for informed enterprise decision-making.

To improve our services and enhance our relationship with our users, we will no longer provide free weather API keys as part of our program. If you have been directed to download our Weather Underground free API key by a third party provider, please contact your vendor for resolution.

OK, I see a correlation now. I used to get 24 hours of continuous temp data recorded from my weather station up to yesterday when I changed my consumption data upload away from Wattvision to Eagle or Eagle POST.

Now I only have reported temp data when my solar generation is active. The last power report from last night was the last temp reported. The first temp reported today coincides with my first power report this morning.

I noticed the exact same change (no temp data unless power data is being fed in), but I thought it was because I switched to using inverter temp data versus the WU API feed. Maybe not reading these posts.

This is why whenever possible, everything needs to be 100% self-maintained, local and open source with zero reliance on a company playing gatekeeper and data arbitrator with our future - Most companies like to dangle a carrot using bait and hook .

We recommended not to copy and paste your Password (Station Key). The Weather Underground Station Key is case sensitive and does not allow special characters. The password for your weather station is no longer the same as the password for your wunderground.com account. It is now a separate key (Station Key) that is generated specifically for each Weather Underground station ID.

A section in your 'Manage Devices' page called 'Uploads' allows you to choose from these 3rd-party weather sites. You just need to select those you want to upload to with the use of the checkbox and type in your credentials.

My Arduino Mega-based weather station has been working reliably 24/7 for over a year now, uploading readings every minute to a MySQL DB I have set up on a Raspberry Pi on my network. So I decided to start uploading the same readings to Weather Underground, so others could use them as well.

For your question, I found out that it could be related to the Get structure. In the past, an incomplete/bad GET structure would work even if it's not according to standard structure. New wunderground servers now require a better GET structure.

Yesterday I found a sparkfun sketch to upload data to their server. I noticed simple changes very similar to yours. In addition, they close the connection with the server. With these changes, I succeeded in uploading my data. I was sending multiple GET parameters and wanted to keep doing this way to avoid making a bigstring.

On that note, ever since I opened up my LAMP server to the internet so I can remotely SSH to it and view current weather readings off a simple PHP-based web site I built, every now and then I get a very basic "GET /HTML..." type request from an unfamiliar IP address, that I'm guessing is some bot or spider trying to find holes in publicly accessible servers for potential exploitation. I wonder if WU was concerned about more serious and targeted attacks to their previous server scripts and thus hardened them by using proper GET protocol, but don't want to talk about it so no one knows.

The TWC API works with the Groovy environment. You can use the Smart Weather Station Tile from SmartThings and add it to your devices manually to get the weather data recorded into your Things.

Then you can query that data from the ST API and use it in your SmartApps. That will work with any language what has SDK released for.

To get the data straight from the new WU API, you will need a API key. And that is completely different discussion. You might get better answers how to use it, if you search stackoverflow or reddit or some community forum regarding WU.

To post a data to WU is a third different topic. You will find better answers if you would search outside of this forum. But first what PWS data do you want to post to WU? Is it a standalone PWS or one, like the Qubino PWS connected directly to SmartThings. If the first, standalone, then search for WeeWX, it is a small easy to use and configure weather station data collector software written in python. If the second, like ST connected PWD, then you need to query the ST API with a SmartApp and post the data to WU.

posting data to WU:

I want to post data form my outdoor temp/humidity sensor as in this project:

Temp/Humidity sensor updates Weather Underground personal weather station

however, with the change on WU API , the URL on this project code is useless. So I want to find the correct posting URL format.

But I could not find it in WU community.

Maybe someone here has already done this and could share this information.

Click Delete if you want to delete the data feed from HOBOlink. This does not remove the station from Weather Underground, but it will stop the push of data for that station from HOBOlink to Weather Underground.

The weather observation is calculated over the last 24 hours and not for the last day. The values given by the system diagnosis are therefore different, if compared to the Weather Underground website. Please have a look at the corresponding Weather Server GitHub repository for details.

@Peter, You are right. I changed to my locally hosted Weather Service and realized thereafter that I still receive the weather data from WU. Depending on the existence of a WU Key and PWS name the weather data is received from WU or local WeeWX reports.

Hello , I have api key for wundeground, because I have a local weather station that broadcasts data on wundergoud.

I have already entered my api key in the opensprinkler config, while below what should I do?

I have a Logia 7-in-1 weather station connected to weather underground. I am able to access my data on the web almost all the time with very few failures.

I am also new to HA and am have followed the steps to integrate my PWS data into HA via GitHub - cytech/Home-Assistant-wundergroundpws: Home Assistant custom component sensor for Weather Underground personal weather station users. I have obtained my PWS API key and for a while sensor data are regularly updated.

But every day I lose the connection for 3-10 hours, then it starts working again.

I have no idea what to try.

Thanks for any suggestions. 5376163bf9
