Bennington Flower Posse - Sass Iris Rhizomes

Saturday, June 1st 9 am to noon

Centennial Park

On June 1st during the Farmer's Market, members of the Bennington Flower Posse will be sharing Sass Iris rhizomes with the public interested in adding them to their landscapes. The Posse would love to see Iris blooming in many more area yards to further spread the colorful joy as well as celebrate the living legacy of Sass Iris.

(Donations are always appreciated but are not required.)

In the meantime, The Bennington Flower Posse would like to make everyone aware that the Sass Iris Gardens in Bennington will be in bloom for the next week or so. The community is invited to view this spectacular floral display located in front of and behind the Bennington Police Station near the Papio Bridge on 156th Street. (Parking is available near Centennial Park and the Iris are a short walk across 156th Street.)

Another small planting of Sass Iris is located just east of JDubs Hangout on Warehouse Street. There are picnic tables/benches for resting while visitors view the Iris.

What a wonderful way to celebrate the fullness of spring and the beauty it brings!
