Her educational journey started in Fort Worth ISD where she served as an AVID tutor, substitute teacher, 8th - 12th grade ELAR teacher, academic coordinator, Gifted and Talented Specialist, and assistant principal. She then joined Mansfield ISD in 2017 to open and lead the district’s first College and Career Readiness School Model, TCC SE Mansfield Early College High School at Timberview. Her tenure as the founding principal within Mansfield ISD has allowed her to create an ongoing system of support for students and staff to maximize their instructional and professional potential. Erica created Bennett EduLead Consulting to coach educational leaders on building a winning strategic plan of student support as well as coaching teams on how to work with each other's strengths to meet strategic goals. Erica produces publications for educators and families. Erica earned her Bachelor of Secondary English Education degree from Texas Christian University; Master of Business Administration from Walden University; and Principal Certification from Lamar University.
