All about your BCO Representatives


President: Jessie Gibson-Raschon

I am the mom of Rory who is a 3rd grader. We have been at Bennett Elementary since Kindergarten. I am a Colorado native who loves biking, camping, hiking, and skiing. I grew up in Aurora and came to Fort Collins to attend CSU and never left. I am a BIG fan of The Office and watch more often than I like to admit! My husband Ryan has lived all over the United States and loves Colorado so we are staying! I am a social worker by day and love spending the rest of my time with my family, dog, and two cats. I know the VP and I have big shoes to fill but we are excited to see what we can do to help continue to grow BCO. Can not wait for this school and what this year has to bring!

I am the Dad of Ezra—now a Bennett 5th grader! My wife, Alisa, Ezra, and I are all relatively new to Fort Collins by way of New Mexico, Oregon, Missouri, Montana, and California. I have a background in hydrology and earth science and am currently a Data Science Coordinator with the USDA. Alisa is an expert in forest ecology and applied climatology; she is a Research Associate at CSU. We enjoy camping, hiking, biking, and generally being in nature. Ezra had a great 4th grade year at Bennett and I am excited to be more involved this 5th grade year!

I am the father of two boys, one at Bennett and one going to Blevins. I hike and read when I'm not trying to convince computers to be helpful at CSU! For some reason, I enjoy taking copious notes.

My wife Elizabeth and I are the parents of Twyla who in now in 4th grade. She's been at Bennett since kindergarten. We love it here. (We also have an older daughter who started at Bennett in 3rd grade when we moved to Fort Collins way back in 2008. Our older daughter did survive the entire IB program. She still likes to come back to the Benett Sock Hop if she's around town.) I am a Research Program Manager at the Forest Service's Rocky Mountain Research Station. Elizabeth is the Art Education Coordinator at the Museum of Art in Fort Collins. We (Elizabeth and I) love to camp (Twyla prefers hotels). Twyla and I love to ski (Eliabeth prefers to say warm). I'll do my best to keep the budget straight for the BCO. My fellow BCO officers are fantastic and I trust they will help keep me in line!

Ex-Pres: Eric Bowman

I am the dad of Elena in fifth grade and Colin in second grade. I’m married to Celia (despite the constant barrage of dumb things I say and do). I’m a mechanical designer and a recovering architect. I ALWAYS wear something orange. I volunteer with any Bennett activity that needs manual labor. I love chai lattes, Dew, and celebrating weird holidays (Flag Day and Krampusnacht are my favorites).


Ex-Pres: Lisa Verbsky

I'm the mom of Theo, a second grader and Marie, a fifth grader. I spent the last few years organizing International Day here at Bennett, but given this unique year, I wanted to give some love and support to our Bennett community in a larger way. So here I am, the Co-President, still figuring out what I just signed up for! I'm a runner and a gardener and a biker, but my most favorite thing is to throw on a backpack, and head into the mountains. My partner in life, Pavel, keeps me motivated and smiling. Raising a coffee mug (or two) to all of you as we start this year together!
