Sai is working in the Targeted Contrast Agents (TCA) team in Choi lab mainly focusing on synthesis of NIR fluorophores for PDT and PTT studies, and bioconjugation of optical probes to proteins and antibodies. Sai recently completed a co-op in the Platform Chemistry team at GSK, Cambridge, where she gained experience in on-DNA reaction development, DNA-Encoded Libraries (DELs) and cheminformatics. Prior to that, she worked in Dr. Kozlowski’s lab at University of Pennsylvania, Department of Chemistry, on her Masters’ thesis – in synthesizing differently substituted hydroxycarbazoles toward total syntheses of clausenawalline natural products. In the Choi lab, she is excited to further hone her synthetic organic chemistry knowledge and develop skills in different medical imaging modalities.
