Jake is currently a student at Northeastern University pursuing a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery. He joined the Bioengineering & Nanomedicine (BENMD) Program at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital in May 2024 as a Research Co-op. During his time at the BENMD program, he will be working towards developing dyes that utilize PTT and PDT to treat Alzheimer’s Disease. For his Ph.D. studies, he will be in Dr. Ganesh Thakur’s lab where he will be developing non-addictive drug analogs to treat neuropathic and chronic pain.
