Dr. Yang Cao recently joined as a Visiting Scientist in the Choi lab for biomedical engineering research. He is also an associate professor in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Chongqing University in 2014. His research interests include early diagnosis and treatment of tumors, development of novel contrast agents for ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging. He is also working on biomedical applications of focused ultrasound in brain and tumors.
