NYU STUDENT, MUSICIAN AND DJ
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Benjamin "Benji" Corburn grew up surrounded by a vibrant mix of cultures and sounds that shaped a deep appreciation for music. Immersed in a community defined by diversity and creativity, he developed an early passion for rhythm, performance, and storytelling through sound. At age 10, he studied in Guadalajara, Mexico, immersing himself in the culture and language. Now based in New York City and studying at NYU, he continues to explore new musical influences, perspectives, and collaborations that expand his artistic identity.
As a DJ, Benji strives to craft experiences that unite audiences through dynamic, genre-blending sets. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of styles, he uses DJing as a platform for creativity, emotion, and connection. In addition to DJing, Benji plays the trumpet, bringing a strong sense of musicality and improvisation to each performance.
Benji’s goal is to grow as both an artist and performer—refining technical skills, collaborating across genres, and developing a sound that reflects his personal experience. Through music, he aims to build community, inspire creativity, and share the passion that motivates him.
