Benjamin Reiser
Benjamin Reiser joined the Department of Statistics , University of Haifa in 1987 and retired in 2014. He obtained a B.Sc (1967) from McGill University in Honours Mathematics and a Ph.D.(1972) in Statistics from the University of Waterloo. Prior to the University of Haifa he was employed by the Research Branch-Canada Department of Agriculture, the Road and Motor Vehicle Safety Branch- Canada Department of Transport and Rafael, Israel Defense Department. He has previously had a faculty appointment at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management, Technion. Prof. Reiser has also held visiting positions at the Dept. of Statistics, University of Toronto,Toronto; Dept. of Statistics, Temple University, Philadelphia; Dept. of Mathematics and Statistics, York University, Toronto and Dept. of Biostatistics, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. In addition he has been a Visiting Scientist at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY. He is currently on the Editorial Advisory Board of Statistical Methods in Medical Research (2007-present) and has served as an Associate Editor of Biometrics (2005-2017) .His research has been supported by various funding agencies including the Israel Science Foundation (ISF), the Binational US-Israel foundation (BSF) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
