About the artist
Ben Kuhl was born in Grand Island, Nebraska in 1984. While attending Grand Island Public Schools, a love for postmodern and contemporary art was fostered by his art teachers. Grand Island's tight knit skateboarding community along with Omaha's thriving music scene helped fuel his creativity. Receiving a BA in Art Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, Kuhl taught for many years before taking time off to travel. In contrast to urban life, a deep appreciation for Nebraska's wide open spaces provide anchor to his art. Family, friends, artists, acquaintances, and the natural world continue to inform his practice.
