Hello! I'm Benhui.
I’m currently a PhD student at EPFL, Switzerland, working with Prof. Josie Hughes at CREATE Lab.
I was a visiting researcher (2026) at Bristol Robotics Laboratory (BRL), working with Prof. Jonathan Rossiter. I received my master's degree in biosystems engineering from Zhejiang University (ZJU), China, and my bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
I grew up in multi- & inter-disciplines, including mechanics, bioengineering, materials, optics, arts, etc.
My research interests lie in:
Soft robotics & materials
E-skins (tactile sensors & biosensors)
Bio-inspired robot & humanoid robot
Food robot, masticatory robot & agricultural robot
Human-robot-environment interactions

Oct, 2025: I was awarded the Best Poster Award in the "Touching Tomorrow: How Soft Robotics, Flexible Electronics, and the Metaverse are Shaping Future Haptics" workshop at IROS 2025!
Aug, 2025: Our paper on oe-skin was was recently published in npj Flexible Electronics!
