My work in curriculum and instruction centers on creating meaningful, equitable, and engaging music experiences for every learner. I believe that strong arts education connects creativity, academic growth, and social-emotional learning.
At Osseo Area Schools, I help design curriculum and professional learning that supports both teachers and students—grounded in culturally responsive practice and aligned with Minnesota and National Core Arts Standards. As a K-12 music educator and curriculum specialist, I value teaching the fine arts to every student—no matter where they come from, who they are, what they believe in, or how they learn.

Developing standards-based, inclusive music units and assessments for K–5 classrooms that integrate literacy, movement, and creativity.
Leading professional learning communities, facilitating districtwide workshops, and mentoring music educators through collaborative coaching and reflection.
Partnering with district equity leadership to embed diverse musical traditions and perspectives into arts curriculum—ensuring that every child sees their culture reflected in the classroom.
Designing authentic, creative assessments that capture student growth and amplify student voice through composition, performance, and reflection.
