The Product

Gamer Gear is an e-commerce company that helps Nigerians order game gadgets directly from recognized brands and deliver them to their doorsteps without users undergoing the trouble of converting naira to dollars or the stress of international shipping. This company helps users order gadgets they won’t be able to order due to the international transaction limit put in place by the government.

The Problem

Nigerian gamers can’t order their gadgets directly from brand stores due to international transaction limits and they sometimes end up buying fake from third-party websites

The Goal

The goal of this project is to design an app that will allow Nigerians to order gaming gadgets from authentic companies without international transaction limits.

Summary

To understand the users I'm designing for and their needs, I conducted interviews and created empathy maps. The primary user group identified through research was gamers who didn’t want to buy fake gadgets.

Research showed that authenticity was not the only factor why people want to order gadgets directly from the manufacturers which was the initial assumption. Other factors include no additional cost and return policies.
