Coffee House

Coffee House - 2019

By: Naomi Duheme

Coffee house this year was plentiful in a range of performances by a number of Sir Robert Borden’s most talented students. We enjoyed a number of singing performances from Elena Bentsen, Clementine Kohl, Lara Gunturkun, Denise Cenina, and many more. Music was prevalent throughout the night as the audience enjoyed a number of musical pieces performed through both piano and saxophone, but alongside the musical acts were an amusing comedy act that took a surprising turn and an interpretive dance performed by two incredibly agile, synchronized performers. The upcoming play, Grimm Nights, a dark spin on beloved fairy tale princesses, presented a sneak peek into the amusing production as Tommy Schnarr, Max Rosenburg, and Rayan Bari performed their scene entertainingly. The delightful show met a sweet end as Key Club leaders sang a sweet happy birthday to their fellow friend. Unexpectedly, a promposal came about as Hannah Draper, accomplished and cherished writer and AV crew member, displayed a sweet video and promposed to this writer! All in all, the show in its entirety never failed to keep the audience hooked as it dazzled us with some of the best Sir Robert Borden has to offer.
