Greetings from Football Association for the Blind of Bengal (FABB).
You would be happy to know that blind football in Bengal has received a new lease of life after the inception of Football Association for the Blind of Bengal (FABB), a body affiliated to Indian Blind Football Federation (IBFF), the apex body of this sports in India. It is, let us mentions in passing, and is the sole registered body to govern blind football in Bengal. The Bengal Team under its guidance had performed admirably well in a number of National tournament as a mark of which 15 number players had gone on to represent the National Blind Football Team. Recently from FABB Sangita Metya represents India Women’s team in the stage of World Championship 2023 at Birmingham, UK.
To give further impetus to our effort and to make this sports more acceptable to the public at large, we are organizing a 3 day’s School Tournament cum Training Camp for Boys & Girls at Siliguri from 06:00 am to 10:30 pm on 27th – 29th May, 2025 with Collaboration with Bhimbarh Snehashram Dristihin Vidyalaya. As, Blind Football is very much developing in the other states of India; so we are also trying to reach with awareness of Blind Football every nook and Corner of Bengal. This is a Day-Night Tournament for the children of the schools as in afternoon it is difficult to arrangement for Heat wave. A huge amount will be needed to arrange the tournament like; Ground arrangement, Staying in different place for Boys and Girls, Train Tickets, Food, Prize money, Jersey etc. A Brief Budget is also included with this letter.
In this connection, we would like to humbly request you to come forward with your kind contributions with all type of help in the under following Budget. This would give a much-needed boost to the sports in Bengal. We hope that you will not disappoint us. Waiting for your positive response. Looking forward to your kind cooperation,

Disha Eye Hospital is honored to Football Association for the Blind of Bengal (FABB) for the excellency work with development of Blind football in Bengal. The 5th edition of the Annual Award Ceremony known as Disha Samman 2022 by Disha Eye Hospitals was organized at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre. The awards honor the accomplishments of people with visual impairments as well as organizations that fight to improve their quality of life.
Debashis Sen, IAS, Managing Director, HIDCO, Mrs. Alokananda Roy, eminent danseuse, and Dipendu Biswas, and Alvito D’ Cunha, former Indian footballer were present to honor the awardees.

West Bengal team reached in Semi-final. We are facing our semi-final match against Meghalaya on morning, 20th September.

We lost this match with the score of 0-4. But, Bengal players are playing with full efforts.
