I am, since May 2024, a Research Scientist at the Quebec Division of the Geological Survey of Canada, Natural Resources Canada. Prior to that, I worked in the capacity as a Postdoctoral Scientist at the same division from May 2021 to April 2024. Before joining the GSC, I briefly worked as a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Science from January 2020 to March 2021.
My research interests broadly encompass the application of stable isotope geochemistry to petrology, marine, environmental, and ore geology, focusing on carbonate archives. I use a combination of stable isotopes of carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen, and clumped isotopes, and triple oxygen isotopes. Radiometric dating methods and trace element geochemistry are also occasionally applied. I am primarily interested and research and development of analytical methods used in geochemistry.
My current research projects are focused on understanding secondary mineralization in sedimentary basins and cratonic shields. I'm also actively involved in the assessment of vital/contamination effects in biogenic carbonates and research into orogenic ore deposit formation and deep sea mineralization.
