I'm trying to create a task that whenever I play music (currently using google play music but will switch to youtube music once its shutdown) and I play a voice note (on Whatsapp or telegram) while listening to music, the music should pause, and when the voice note is done the music should resume.

The client requests a voice note and I have tried everything to leave a voice note in messenger and I am just not succeeding can someone advise me please? There is only an option to leave a written note I could not leave a voice note

Unfortunately, it's not possible to leave voicemail using Voice/Video call in Upwork Messages. You can consider recording a note using an alternative software and sending a file to the client is necessary.

I'm interested in buying a smart watch for basically one reason: I want to quickly make voice notes that get converted to text and saved to cloud storage (e.g. in evernote). I'm currently using my smartphone to do this and there's a bit too much friction; I have to take my phone out of my pocket, unlock it, press a button to start the voice recording, and then speak my note into the phone.

Everyone loves the voice note feature in WhatsApp, since its, Quick and its your own voice not voice -to-type which never comes out what you want to say, why not an option on the phone to quickly respond to a comment with a voice note? I know we have this Sending a voice audio in the comments section (browser and Desktop) - #31 by Ankur2 but it looks like its for the web vision, its more important for mobile

The other use-case I probably see for this is when I start using Agenda for notes outside of work. I can capture recipe ideas as a voice note, instead of having to meticulously type things out, for example.

My guy, I have been working on something similar to this. Would you be interested in working together to develop something? Someone has yet to crack the code on AI note-taking and I think we can do it.

Whether you want to give your fingers a break or communicate in a quicker, more personal way, voice messaging is a game-changer. Read on as we dive into how to master this time-saving iPhone messaging feature. You'll be recording and sending voice notes in no time!

Searching voice notes for key information can be tedious and time-consuming. Unlike text messages, voice recordings cannot be easily scanned or keyword searched. To find a specific detail, you must manually listen through all saved voice messages in the conversation until you encounter it.

Please see attached bar picture.

Here is how I understand it.

C3 on the treble clef is voice 1. B1 on the bass clef is voice 4. I understand how to enter those.

If I enter voice 2(C2) I end up with a double 1/8 C2 for voice 2 & 3 which I do not know how to collapse into a single note.

Please see 2nd attached bar picture of the best I managed to achieve, which, pianistically, is not clear (at least to me).

Hi, considering the advanced state of handwritten notes function in Joplin I think that this may remain the only missing "big" feature that could consecrate Joplin as better note-taking app ever.

In particular, being such a function useful especially from mobile, it would be great if it was possible to add a voice note with one tap from Joplin mobile apps.

It would be useful the possibility to create voice notes as a separate note types (like the existing differentiation between "regular" notes and todos), AND to simply record an audio to add into a regular note.

Of course having also a speech-to-text integration would be killer, but I understand that this might involve the need of a speech-to-text ai engine and I don't think it's simple to implement.

However I hope this feature request doesn't die. Such a function, together with handwriting function, might open unexpected scenarios, like the possibility to use an old tablet with Joplin installed as a "smart family board" to attach on a refrigerator

A voice note function is a pretty major feature not well emulated by anything else other than recording elsewhere and adding as an attachment which I agree is a little too cumbersome to be very user friendly...

On other aspect. Just think it's all implemented flawlessly, and you start recording your voice notes. After a while you have a hundred or two. If you didn't do at recording time what Google does for you with vids (name it, tag it, summarize it, provide etc etc). How will you ever find the one voice note you need three months later ? By it's name ?

I agree that a simple way to record voice clips would be very useful indeed. Not voice notes, nor STT support, just a voice clip attachment. It could be limited to one or two minutes per clip, compressed with OPUS (FOSS library).

This. Maybe in the comment above I didn't explain myself in the best way, but to be clear what you said is the most important feature I would like in Joplin: the possibility record an audio note, or to add an audio element into a regular note. Of course if there was an STT it would be great, but I understand the implications.

Salespeople are constantly evolving how they reach potential prospects. While some methods stand the test of time (think of cold calling and emails), newer forms of communication are also becoming popular, like LinkedIn voice notes and WhatsApp.

I know there would be a possibility for me to record an audio file on my phone/computer, manually search for it and add it as an attachment, but to significantly speed up that work flow, is there a Power Up or more direct way to comment on a card with a voice memo or video memo rather than typing out a comment?

@Jocelyn McClellan I should also mention that on mobile platforms Trello can be set as a "share target" so you could record a voice dictation then share it to Trello, but this will create a new card, rather than adding it to an existing one.

It's weird that in both mobile and desktop platforms the process for doing this via video seems to be much simpler than doing it by audio only. Maybe you can find an app that allows you to quickly drag n drop a voice recording though ...

Most voice recorders will allow you to quickly save something to the same folder so having an easy shortcut to access that folder and ordering it in reverse date order would be the quickest way of getting drag and drop access to voice recordings that I could think of.

I have been testing the iOS beta for two or three days. The addition of the record voice (not menu) tap action perfectly streamlines the flow I was talking about in this thread, all without changing the previous behavior for those to whom it is more useful. That is a good approach.

You can playback the recording to listen to it before posting it. There will be a progress indicator showing how far you are into the recording and the length of voice note and you can pause/play the recording as you like. The rewind button will take you back to the beginning and the forward button will bring you to the end. ff782bc1db
