Overview of Neuchâtel: train station, university, hotel
Most of our conference guests will be accommodated at Hotel des Arts, Rue J.-L.-Pourtalès 3, 2000 Neuchâtel.
A few additional rooms have been reserved in the University building, Rue Émile-Argand 11, 2000 Neuchâtel.
You will have received an email from us indicating where you will stay for the night of 27–28 November.
The map below shows all three relevant locations: the train station (Gare), the University, and Hotel des Arts.
How to get to the University from the train station
There are two ways to reach the University from the train station:
On foot:
You can follow the bus route, but the more scenic option is the footpath shown in the image below, which offers a beautiful view over the lake.
This walk also takes around 20 minutes.
By bus:
Take bus 107 (running roughly every 10 minutes during the day and evening) from either Gare or Rocher—depending on which exit of the station you use, one stop will be closer.
The bus follows Rue des Fahys. After getting off at Portes-Rouges, cross the railway bridge to reach the University building at Rue Émile-Argand 11 from the forest/train side.
The total travel time is approximately 15–20 minutes.
Locations inside the University building
Please note that the talks on Thursday and Friday will not take place in the same room.
On the map below, you will find the Thursday lecture room (B013), the Friday lecture rooms (E301–304), and the room assigned for coffee breaks, dinner, and lunch (T103).
