Sometime in the early twenty-second century, a hundred years from now, if not sooner, humanity will embark upon a great journey. The starship will pull away from the only world we have ever known and begin its long passage to the stars, where other worlds await.

We have dreamed of this journey for generations, but the time has now arrived to begin the practical process of conceiving, designing, building, testing, and fielding the technologies and techniques that will make the starship a reality. The time has come to bend metal.

To this end, Bend Metal LLC will encourage the entrepreneurship of individuals and businesses that will develop the technologies of the starship, fostering and promoting innovation integral to creating the industries that will benefit humanity on Earth and make possible our expansion to other worlds.
