1. Purpose and Scope
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms") govern all sponsorships, partnerships, collaborations, and commercial engagements (collectively, “Partnerships”) entered into with Benchwarmers Football Club (“Benchwarmers FC” or "BWM").
Any individual, organisation, or entity (“Partner”) engaging with the Club shall be deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
2. Organisational Values and Identity
Benchwarmers FC is a Muslim-owned amateur football club operating in Singapore. The Club conducts its activities in accordance with Islamic principles and ethical standards.
All Partnerships must align with these guiding principles. The Club reserves the right to determine suitability at its sole discretion.
3. Eligibility and Acceptance of Partners
3.1 Partners must:
Operate in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in Singapore
Maintain ethical business practices
Demonstrate alignment with the Club’s values and public image
3.2 The Club reserves the absolute right to:
Approve or reject any proposed Partnership
Conduct due diligence on prospective Partners
Terminate discussions at any stage without obligation to provide justification
4. Prohibited Industries, Activities and Content
To preserve the Club’s values, the following are strictly prohibited and shall render any Partnership ineligible or subject to immediate termination.
4.1 Prohibited Commercial Sectors
Gambling, betting, or wagering-related services
Alcohol production, distribution, or promotion
Tobacco, vaping, or related products
Nightlife establishments, including clubs, bars, and similar venues
Adult entertainment or services of a sexual nature
4.2 Financial and Business Practices
Interest-based (riba) financial services that are non-compliant with Islamic ethical standards
Speculative or high-risk platforms associated with gambling-like activities
4.3 Content and Media Restrictions
Partners must not produce, promote, or associate the Club with content that includes:
Profanity, vulgar language, or offensive expressions
Sexual, suggestive, or explicit material
Content that promotes immoral, unlawful, or unethical behaviour
Discriminatory, abusive, or harmful messaging
4.3.1 Use of Music in Promotional Materials
In accordance with the Club’s values, the use of music is strictly prohibited in all Partnership-related content and promotional materials involving Benchwarmers FC.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Background music in videos, highlights, or advertisements
Music used in social media posts (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, YouTube)
Music in branded campaigns, sponsorship content, or event promotions
Partners shall ensure that:
All audio used in content involving the Club is free from music, or
Limited strictly to permissible alternatives (e.g., voiceovers, natural sound, or sound effects), subject to the Club’s approval
Failure to comply with this clause shall constitute a material breach of these Terms.
4.4 General Restriction Clause
The Club reserves the right to prohibit any activity, product, service, or content that it reasonably determines to be:
Inconsistent with Islamic principles
Detrimental to the Club’s reputation
Contrary to community standards or public interest
5. Brand Usage and Intellectual Property
5.1 The name, logo, and all associated branding of Benchwarmers FC remain the exclusive property of the Club.
5.2 Partners shall:
Obtain prior written approval before using any Club branding
Use branding strictly within agreed Partnership terms
Comply with brand guidelines where provided
5.3 The Club reserves the right to:
Require modification or removal of any unauthorised or inappropriate usage
Revoke branding rights at any time upon breach of these Terms
6. Content Creation and Approval
6.1 All co-branded or collaborative content must:
Reflect professionalism, respect, and integrity
Be consistent with the Club’s values and image
6.2 The Club shall retain the right to:
Review and approve content prior to publication
Request amendments or reject content at its sole discretion
6.3 Partners shall not publish or distribute any content involving the Club without explicit approval where required.
7. Social Media and Public Representation
7.1 Given the Club’s active digital presence, all public communications must:
Accurately represent the nature of the Partnership
Avoid misleading, exaggerated, or unauthorised claims
7.2 Partners must not:
Misrepresent affiliation with the Club
Use the Club’s identity to endorse unrelated products or services
7.3 The Club reserves the right to:
Request removal of content that violates these Terms
Publicly distance itself from non-compliant content or Partners
8. Sponsorship and Commercial Agreements
8.1 All sponsorship arrangements shall be governed by a separate written agreement, outlining:
Scope of deliverables
Duration of engagement
Financial or non-financial considerations
8.2 In the absence of a formal agreement, these Terms shall apply in full.
8.3 The Club reserves the right to:
Decline renewal or continuation of any Partnership
Modify deliverables subject to mutual agreement
9. Termination
9.1 The Club may terminate any Partnership with immediate effect if:
The Partner breaches any provision of these Terms
The Partner is engaged in prohibited activities
The Partnership is deemed harmful to the Club’s reputation or values
9.2 Upon termination:
All rights to use the Club’s branding shall cease immediately
Partners must discontinue all references to the Club
10. Liability and Responsibility
10.1 The Club shall not be liable for:
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from Partnerships
10.2 Partners are solely responsible for:
The legality, safety, and accuracy of their operations, products, and communications
Compliance with applicable laws and regulations
11. Amendments
Benchwarmers FC reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.
Updated Terms shall take effect upon publication on the Club’s official platforms.
