SHAH ALAM, 13 January 2026 — I am proud to announce my continued partnership with Canon Marketing Malaysia as part of the 2026 EOS Master Programme. My reappointment as an EOS Master and Mentor reflects a shared dedication to preserving Malaysia’s rich heritage through a lens. By blending traditional cultural narratives with modern techniques like Neon Noir and light painting, I remain committed to pushing the aesthetic boundaries of editorial photography while utilizing Canon’s cutting-edge ecosystem to bring these visions to life.
Canon’s decision to renew my contract is rooted in our mutual focus on high-level education and specialized expertise. As a mentor and the Secretary of KelFoto, I provide a vital link between the brand and the grassroots photography community. My role involves leading technical workshops and training sessions that go beyond basic instruction, focusing instead on professional mastery and the strategic use of lighting and composition to tell complex, impactful stories.
Guided by the philosophy of Kyosei—living and working together for the common good—this year will be dedicated to nurturing the next generation of Malaysian photographers. Through upcoming workshops and association-led initiatives, I will continue to share practical insights and professional knowledge. Together with Canon, my goal is to ensure that our local creative community remains vibrant, technically proficient, and deeply connected to our cultural roots.
