Our Design:
We designed a baggage tracking system that can reduce foot traffic during the COVID-19 Pandemic
Specs:
Arduino RFID Scanner that verifies bags and their locations
RFID tag that can survive the harsh environments it may encounter
Arduino Code:
I wrote the Arduino code used for the prototype.
It turns on a light when a signal is received so we can test readability range through different materials
RFID Hand Scanner:
I modelled a scanner in CAD software
It houses the Arduino as well as the actual scanner
Can be 3d printed for easy reproduction
Biggest Challenge was making routes for the wiring
RFID protective case:
We modelled the protective case in CAD software
It holds the RFID card and protects it from damage
We 3d printed it and tested it with some drops from different heights
We chose the material from out material testing done with the Arduino Prototype
Biggest Challenge was troubleshooting the 3d printer
