PSYC 3090/3091 Introductory Experimental Psychology
Description
Introduction to the analysis of data from experimental and correlational research in psychology. Emphasizes the applications and logical nature of statistical reasoning.
In this course, you will:
💡 Describe research methods commonly used in behavioral sciences.
💡 Be able to calculate and interpret descriptive and inferential statistics.
💡 Explain the logic behind hypothesis testing and identify the appropriate statistical test for various research designs.
💡 Know how to write and communicate about psychological research and be able to use APA style and formatting.
Course text:
You should have a SPSS textbook to help you. Here is what I recommend, but there are acceptable alternatives:
