Composing electronic music in the Reverse Choreography Challenge

I was invited by NUS Centre for the Arts to create a track to Yarra Ileto’s (NUS Dance Synergy’s Artistic Director) choreography, with a new follow up to the track created. Inspired by STEEZY’s Reverse Choreography series, we took on the Reverse Choreography challenge. Watch the video to see how Yarra first danced without music, then I wrote music to her dance, then she counter-choreographed an additional dance to the music!

Teaching electronic music at NUS EML

Why did NUS CFA contact me for the Reverse Choreography project?

Because I teach the NUS Electronic Music Lab (NUS EML), which is the performance group at NUS that creates, records, performs, and promotes original electronic music.

Teaching electronic music outside NUS

If you want to learn electronic music, you don't need to be an NUS student - check out my online tips at my YouTube channel above, and if you want personalised teaching in person, contact me through Pop Studio Academy http://popstudioacademy.com where I teach music production, live performance, music tech for small bands, remixing and covers.
