Check in for the retreat will start at 3PM on the 13th. Please arrive latest by 4PM because we will be starting orientation then. (If you are flying in that day, please plan your flights accordingly! You are welcome to arrive early at church before check-in.) The final session should finish with lunch (around 1PM) on the 16th. (Once again, if you are flying out that day, please plan accordingly!)

Because we are doing retreat at church this year, the housing situation will be a bit unique! The brothers will be together in one house, and the sisters will be together in another house. Rides will be provided to and from church each day. It will be a little cramped with sleeping bags and shared bathrooms, but what better way to get to know each other and make life-long friendships! Please contact Pastor Faith if you have any concerns or special needs with regards to housing.
올해는 뉴욕 지교회 성전에서 수련회를 진행하게 되어서 숙박은 근처에 있는 저택 두곳으로 나눠서 다함께 교회로 이동할 예정입니다. 형제님들은 다 같이 한 집에서 지내시고 자매님들은 다른 집에서 지내실 예정입니다. 조금 좁을 수도 있지만, 그만큰 서로 친해지면서 주님의 은혜를 같이 나눌 수 있는 기회이길 바랍니다! 이부분에대해서 더 자세한 정보가 필요하시거나 특이사항이 있으신 분들은 허윤 전도사님에게 연락주시기 바랍니다.
You MUST bring a negative covid test when checking in to the retreat (it can be a rapid antigen test instead of a PCR) if:
If you show any symptoms (fever or chills, cough, difficulty breathing, body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, etc.)
If you have been in close contact with a covid-positive person in the last 5 days (was less than 5ft apart without a mask)
If you were in very crowded space in the last 5 days (concerts, movie theaters, beaches, tourist attractions/sight seeing, indoor weddings, sporting events, etc)
***If you end up testing positive for Covid last minute, we unfortunately cannot allow you to attend unless you have a negative test result (or have been symptomless for the previous 5 days). We will make sure to send you the private live link for the services in this case. We therefore advise you all to be careful and stay safe with extra precautions before the retreat. Thank you for understanding.
Covid-19 mask policy:
Our Covid-19 mask policy will be in accordance with the new CDC regulations: masks will be optional but we ask you to still be cautious and respectful. If you are someone who had tested positive recently or had been in close contact with a positive case but were able to get a negative result by retreat time, we ask that you keep your masks on for extra caution.

Travel to US: physical copy of recent negative covid test + proof of full vaccination
Full vaccination requires at least 2 doses unless you took the J&J vaccine
Negative Covid tests must be PCR, NAAT, or Antigen testing. Antigen tests are generally cheaper and faster with results. US requires you to have taken the test the day before departure, not 24 hours. (e.g. Taking a test at 8AM on July 11th is valid for a flight at 9pm on July 12th.)
Travel back home: physical copy of recent negative covid test
a PCR or NAAT test must be taken 1-3days before departure (please check the regulations of your final destination country)
free same-day NAAT testing is available at Walgreens (please make an appointment 1 week in advance!)

접종 완료는 얀센 벡신을 제외하고 2차 접종까지 받으셔야 인정됩니다.

Those who have attended Beloved Church retreats before will know the drill. But for those of you who are joining us for the first time, we are first of all so excited to have you with us during what will be an awesome few days! Please know that our Beloved retreats are different from others in that we are gathered for the main purpose of worshipping God and getting to know Him more. Hence, we will limit the “fun” activities and games that are oftentimes associated with summer retreats, and instead dedicate this time to more intense prayer and focusing on the many messages that will be preached. While we will indeed still have fun and make great new friendships, we are ultimately here to grow closer to God. I challenge you to come with this mindset of spending your time at the retreat constantly in the presence of the Lord.
The retreat as a whole will be led in English and geared towards English speakers. However our main speaker will be preaching in Korean with simultaneous English interpreting. It is a healthy combination, and we hope that no one feels left out as we have many people who are bilingual and can help you in whatever situation you find yourself. Just ask!

We will unfortunately no longer provide homestays or airport rides for our out-of-state visitors. If you are planning on staying longer than the retreat dates (such as the following Sunday), we ask you to please contact NY members directly if they can house you or find alternative housing. Likewise for rides, we will no longer provide pick-up from the airport to our church. (However, church is only 20 minutes away from the airports and very easy to access via Uber/Lyft). We apologize for this inconvenience, but we hope you understand the difficulty of providing these services for so many people. Please feel free to still contact us if you need help.
지난 두 차례 수련회를 진행할 때 타주와 해외에서 오신 성도님들을 위해 뉴욕 성도님들께서 라이드와 홈스테이를 제공해주셨습니다. 인원이 많이진 관계로 더 이상 라이드와 홈스테이를 제공할 수 없게 된 점을 양해해주시면 감사하겠습니다. 수련회기간 동안 숙식과 숙박은 다 제공 되며, 그 전후로 뉴욕에 더 오래 계실 분들께서는 개인적으로 숙식과 교통 문제를 해결해주시길 부탁드립니다.
New York has THREE international airports through which you can fly: John F. Kennedy (JFK), LaGuardia (LGA), and Newark (EWR). Prices for tickets may vary between the three, so we give you the freedom of choosing whatever works best for you. However, we do not recommend Newark as it is 1.5hrs away by car and even longer by public transportation. JFK and LGA are equally close to our NY Church (15-20 minutes).

All sessions with the main speaker are open to the public (Wed-Fri evenings, Sat morning), but seating will be prioritized for registered young-adults. For adults attending from out of state who wish to attend the day events as well, please contact Pr Faith. Housing and food will not be provided. High Schoolers (Rising 9th graders included) are allowed to attend, but must contact Pastor Faith first for confirmation.
High Schoolers from other states or countries:
will only be allowed to attend IF they have a chaperone for their flight to New York (either your respective Beloved Church teachers/pastors or a parent)
Housing and food will be provided for high schoolers who are approved to attend
Children (Middle school and under)
Children will not be able to register for the retreat, but they may attend the public services with parents.
There is no separate children's service or child care. The parent MUST be with their children at all times. (If they are too young or disruptive, they will not be able to worship in the main sanctuary and will be directed to a different room for worship.)
Housing and food will not be provided for children.
*Please understand that this is a Young Adult retreat, and we are already making an exception for high schoolers to attend.*
