The armored combat sport of "buhurt" derives from the French word meaning "to wallop". It is a modern reconstruction of medieval tournament consisting of team competitions called "melees" and singles competitions with different categories called "duels" and "profights". Not to be confused with reenactments or LARPing, this sport is fought in historically accurate medieval armor with combatants wielding rebated steel weapons, with the goal of one thing, "to wallop" the opposing force until submission.
