Shortbread is a type of biscuit with a sugar coating on top and this is how you can make it at home 1. heat the oven to 170c/150c fan/gas 3 then put the flower ,butter and sugar into the mixing bowl. After that use your hands to mix until the batter looks like breadcrumbs then smoosh it together until you get a dough.
2. On a slightly flowered surface, use a rolling pin to role out your dough until 1/2 cm thick. Cut the dough into fingers/ brick shapes and place on a lined baking sheet. Use a fork to create imprints then sprinkle with caster sugar.
3. Chill in fridge for 20 min then bake for 15-20 min until golden brown.
